SMC team visits Bangalore, Hyderabad to learn more about gardening

Surat, May 10 (UNI) A team of Surat Municipal Corporation (SMC) is currently touring Bangalore and Hyderabad to learn more about the gardening in order to improve the greenary in the city.

The team, led by Municipal Secretary I M Patel, consists of all the standing committee members. It will visit the corporations in Bangalore and Hyderabad to learn more about gardening.

''SMC has been developing lot of gardens these days as part of its move to improve the greenary in the city. So it thinks that by visiting these corporations it can learn more about it,'' said a senior official in SMC.

The team would also study the methods adopted by these corporations to upgrade the slums, he informed.

SMC was one of the two municipal corporations, along with Vishakhapatnam, which had been invited by the Central government to make a presentation in New Delhi to highlight its civic growth, SMC sources added.
