Chamba, May 10 (UNI) Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh today described the Supreme Court's decision on the ''Khair wood allotment scam'' a triumph of truth and said the previous BJP government had made all efforts to implicate him in false cases.

''The SC's ruling on the scam is a triumph of the truth. The previous government had leveled 26 different charges on me,'' he told reporters at Dalhousie.

The Supreme Court had yesterday dismissed a PIL filed by a state BJP leader challenging a Shimla Special Court's order discharging the chief minister and three others in the khair wood allotment scam case.

Accusing the BJP of trying to destabilize his government, Mr Singh said the court's judgment has exposed its ''ugly tactics'' apart from boomeranging on them.

''The CBI has already given a clean chit to me in all the other cases.'' Mr Singh was in Chamba today to attend the marriage of Chamba MLA Asha Kumari's daughter.

Replying to a question, he said the office of the chief parliamentary secretary and parliamentary secretary, chairmen of different boards and corporations do not come under the preview of the office of profit since the state government had already formulated an Act on this way back in 1971.

CPSs and PSs were still functioning in Chattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh and Jharkhand, the chief minister said, adding that his government would wait for the court's verdict before taking any decision on it.
