Mahajan successor from among Jaitley, Naidu, Gadkari: Deodhar

Nagpur, May 10 (UNI) Bharatiya Janata Party general secretary Pramod Mahajan, who died recently is likely to be succeeded by Arun Jaitley or Venkaiah Naidu or Maharashtra BJP chief Nitin Gadkari, according to senior Rashtriya Swayamsewak Sangh (RSS) analyst Dilip Deodhar.

Talking to reporters here today, Mr Deodhar said a section in the RSS and VHP had strongly recommended the names of the three.

This same section had prevented Mr Narendra Modi and later Mr Pramod Mahajan from becoming the party pesident, he said.

Mr Deodhar said the RSS leadership now has become more ritualistic rather than develoment-oriented.
