K'taka CM's Jana Spandana prog evokes good response

Udupi, May 10 (UNI) The ''Jana Spandana'' programme, under which public can send across their grievances to Karnataka Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy through letters, has evoked good response, Chief Secretary, Personnel and Administration department, R R Suresh informed today.

Chairing the meeting of senior officials from various government department here, he said about 1500 to 2000 applications were received on an average every month and these were forwarded to the departments concerned for action. About 80 per cent of them were cleared every month, he added.

He said the department also prepared a progress report on clearance of applications on a monthly basis and issued guidelines to the department concerned for disposal of pending applications.

Mr Suresh said the officials from Jana Spandana Cell were also making regular visits to the districts to create awareness among the officials at the district level with the need to give priority to such applications.
