IAS officers to undergo training at XLRI

Patna, May 10: IAS officers of Bihar would undergo training at the premium management institute, XLRI at Jamshedpur in Jharkhand.

A delegation of the state government led by the Administrative Reforms Commission Commissioner Ashok Choudhary had a meeting with the XLRI director Fr Casimir Raj in this regard.

Mr Choudhary told UNI here today that the deal with the XLRI was in the final stage and once the modalities were finalised, the state government would sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with XLRI.

He said that high and middle level IAS officers would be trained at XLRI.

Official sources said a well designed training programme would be chalked out for bringing ''behaviourial and attitudinal changes'' among the bureaucrats, who would learn the fine nuances of management at the XLRI.

The Nitish Kumar government had constituted Administrative Reforms Commission soon after its installation, entrusting it with the task of suggesting ways to make the best use of bureaucratic work force.
