New Delhi, May 10 (UNI) The Delhi High Court today dismissed the petition moved by two MCD engineers praying for revision of a conviction order last year.

A division bench headed by acting Chief Justice Vijendra Jain said the order of one month imprisonment and a fine of Rs 25000 each thus stands good for two MCD junior engineers, U S Chauhan and R S Sherawat, for contmept of court.

The MCD officials faced allegations for misleading the court by claiming to have demolished the respective areas.

However, their claims were later proved wrong as the defence produced detailed photographs of the entire area.

They were however, granted some time to file a petition before the Supreme Court.

Instead of moving the apex court, they sat over the order for long before moving the High Court for revision.

Justice Jain dismissed their petition today, operating the earlier order of conviction.
