Fresh militant atack in Doda, operation stepped up

Jammu, May 10 (UNI) After fresh militant attack in Doda, where massacre took place on May one, the security forces have stepped up security arrangement, Jammu and Kashmir police sources said here today.

The sources said militants fired killing a special police officer, Bilal Ahmed, and a civilians while three others including one canstable were injured According to sources, Ahmed shot dead by militant when he was guarding the house of Iqbal Husain at Tanta under Gandoh police station. The deceased civilian was identified as Gauri Lal.

The security forces, with the help of state police, in Bhaderwah and Doda towns are conducting search operations and laying ambush in sensitive areas, the sources said.

Security arrangements also has been beefed uo with Jammu and Kashmir Police personnel deployed at the massacre site in Kulhand.

Troops have been reorganised to avoid any untoward incident in remote areas in the district, the sources said.
