6 killed, 2 injured in road mishaps

Bangalore, May 10 (UNI) Six people, including two women, were killed and two injured in separate road accidents in Karnataka in the last 24 hours.

Police said three people were killed and two sustained injuries when the car in which they were travelling hit a tree near Seesandra gate in Kolar district last night.

The mishap occurred when the car was proceeding from Tirupati in Andhra Pradesh to Bangalore.

The deceased were identified as Vijayalakshmi (70), Parimala (68) and Pooja (10).

In another incident one person was killed when a jeep in which they were travelling was hit by another jeep at Tamba in Indi taluk today.

In the third mishap, a motorcycle-borne person was killed when a speeding vehicle hit him at Dhulkhed in Bijapur district today.
