Youth injured, shot by unidentified gunmen

Kohima, May 09 (UNI) One youth was seriously injured after he was shot by some unidentified gunmen in Shunglu village under Peren district in Nagaland.

Official sources said here today that Jumlung Kuki, returning home after visiting Phelang village yesterday, when stand off continued between NSCN factions.

Some gunmen had shot several bullets on him, injuring his ribs, arms and shoulders.

He was rushed to the hospital by police.

Police, however, suspected that Mr Kuki was shot mistakenly.

Investigation are on.
