Three officers dismissed from service on corruption charges

Hyderabad, May 9 (UNI) Three officials of the Andhra Pradesh State Trading Corporation, trapped by the sleuths of the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) for accepting bribe, were dismissed from service following their conviction.

A release from the ACB here today said Corporation Assistant Manager M Satyanarayana, Deputy Manager R Subhash Reddy and Accounts Officer R Rayappa, working at the sub-office at Khammam were dismissed from service by the government following their conviction in a corruption case.

Additional Special Judge for SPE and ACB cases convicted the three officers and sentenced them to one year rigorous imprisonment and a fine of Rs 1,000 in March this year.

The release also said G Govind Rajula Shetty, superintendent in the accounts section of the AP Residential Educational Institutions Society, Nampally in the city, was caught red-handed when he demanded and accepted a bribe of Rs 5,000 from a complainant to pass arrears bill.
