Tata Steel inaugurates Rs 25 crore jigging plant in Jharkhand
Kolkata, May 09 (UNI) Tata Steel's Jigging&Hydro-cyclone Plant, with an investment of about Rs 25 crore, was inaugurated at Noamundi Iron Mine in West Singbhum district in Jharkhand.
Speaking on the ocassion, Managing Director of the company B Muthuraman yesterday said this is country's first automated Jigging Plant for Iron Ore fines. The capacity of the plant is 300 tonnes per hour.
Installation of the plant was taken up by Tata Steel to use iron ore fines effectively and conserve the natural resources.
''The company wanted to reduce coke consumption and increase productivity of the blast furnaces. The plant has been installed with the help of HWI with imported component in collaboration from KHD, Germany, '' the company release added.
