Su-Raj Diamonds sales up 19 per cent,net profit rises 22 per cent

Mumbai, May 9 (UNI) Su-Raj Diamonds and Jewellery has registered a 19 per cent growth in net income at Rs 1,220 crore in FY 06 while net profit rose 22 per cent to Rs 37.40 crore as against Rs 30.68 crore in FY 05.

A release issued here today stated that revenues from the jewellery business continued their robust growth at 36 per cent to Rs 654 crore as compared to Rs 483 crore of the previous year.

Mr Jatin Mehta, Chairman and Managing Director, Su-Raj Diamonds&Jewellery, said ''our focus is mainly on the international markets and our export growth reflects our strategy in the US and the European markets which is growing steadily. We target a growth rate of 35-45% in the coming years as our jewellery export to the US, UK and Middle East is growing at a higher pace.'' UNI JJ ADG SKB2004
