Scholl signs up for another year at Bayern

BERLIN, May 9 (Reuters) Experienced German midfielder Mehmet Scholl has signed up for another year with Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich, the club said today.

''I am very happy that I can add on another year at Bayern Munich,'' Scholl, a former German international who has a Turkish father and a German mother, said on the club's website.

The 35-year-old has been at Bayern since 1992, winning eight championships -- more than any other player in the league's history -- despite being plagued by injury.
