One killed, 5 injured in a road accident in N 24 Parganas

Kolkata, May 9 (UNI) A 27-year-old youth was killed and five others injured in a road accident in B T Road near Khardah police station area in North 24 Parganas early today.

The accident occured when a truck from Nadia district, laden with rice, overturned near the police station leaving six people, including the driver and the helper, injured. The truck was on its way to kolkata.

Fire Brigade rushed to the spot to rescue the people as there were very few police in the police station.

Injured people were rushed to the Balaram state general hospital, where one person was declared brought dead.

Fire Brigade representatives said two of the victims were in serious condition.
