Bangalore, May 9: Karnataka Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy today said that there was no difference of opinion among the coalition partners Janata Dal (Secular) and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) over Cabinet expansion issue.

Mr Kumaraswamy was speaking to newsmen after participating in a function organised for presentation of the President Police Medal by the Governor T N Chaturvedi here.

Replying to a question, he said that ''the situation during Congress-JD(S) coalition government was different and we were raising objection for delay in cabinet expansion as developmental works had been affected at that time. But in the present government no work was hampered.''

When asked about a letter written by former Prime Minister and JD(S) National President H D Deve Gowda, he said that ''he (Mr Gowda has written in the interest of the State and the content will be utilised for the betterment of the people.''
