Jeev Milkha Singh jumps to 168 after shining in Korea

New Delhi, May 9 (UNI) Jeev Milkha Singh's tied second finish in the SK Telecom Open saw him leapfrogging 28 rungs to 168, while Jyoti Randhawa slipped three notches further but still remains the highest ranked Indian golfer, according to the latest Official World Golf Rankings.

Jeev's wrist injury in 2000 now seems a matter of the past and the son of 'Flying Sikh' Milkha Singh is riding high since his career-revivingh triumph in the Volvo China Open last month and Jeev's tied second finish in Korea proved it was no fluke.

Placed 196 last week, Jeev moved up to 168 with .89 average points, according to information received here.

Currently out of action, Jyoti Randhawa (1.17) slipped from his last week's 116 place to 119 while, Shiv Kapur and Arjun Atwal to slid a rung each.

Talented Shiv (1.04) remains just ahead of Atwal (1.03) at 143.

Korean Choi Kyung-Ju (2.66) remains the highest ranked Asian at 39.

At the top of the table, Tiger Woods -- who lost his father last week -- steers clear of his nearest rival Phil Mickelson by 7.37 average points.

Meanwhile, Jim Furyk's triumph at the Wachovia Championship saw him moving up two places to number 5.
