Gulbarga records highest maximum temp of 42.4 degree celsius

Bangalore, May 9 (UNI) Following is a summary of observations recorded by the weather office at 0830 hours here today. Rainfall occurred at many places over South Interior Karnataka; at a few places over North Interior Karnataka and at isolated places over Coastal Karnataka.

Hadagalli recorded 7 cm rainfall. Other chief rainfall amounts (cm): H.B.Halli, Kudligi 5 each; Kadur, Tumkur 4 each; Dharwad, Nargund, Jayapura, N.R.Pura, Bellary 3 each; Sambre, Hubli, Sandur, Chitradurga, Holalkerre, Gubbi 2 each.

Maximum temperatures changed little and were above normal at a few places over the State. Gulbarga recorded highest maximum temperature of 42.4 degree celsius over the State.

Forecast valid until Thursday morning: Rain/thundershowers likely to occur at isolated places over Interior Karnataka and mainly dry weather may prevail over Coastal Karnataka.

Farmers Weather Bulletin: Light to moderate rain likely to occur at a few places over Raichur, Koppal, Gulbarga, Bidar districts of North Interior Karnataka and Kolar, Bangalore Urban, Bangalore Rural districts of South Interior Karnataka and at isolated places over all districts of Coastal Karnataka and remaining districts of North Interior Karnataka and South Interior Karnataka.

Forecast for Bangalore city: Partly cloudy. Maximum temperature would be around 36 degree celsius.
