Group Insurance Scheme for milk producing societies in Haryana

Chandigarh, May 9 (UNI) Haryana Dairy Development Cooperative Federation has decided to introduce Group Insurance Scheme for members of Primary Cooperative Milk Producers Societies in the state.

A spokesman of the federation here today said that applications have been invited from insurance companies to cover Personal Accident Group Insurance for farmers or members of Primary Cooperative Milk Producers Societies affiliated to the Milk Unions of Haryana.

These companies would have to submit applications alongwith their terms and conditions, he added.

He said that in case of death due to accident, under the insurance cover, the federation intended to provide Rs one lakh to the next of kin of the deceased and an equal amount for total recoverable loss of two limbs that is one leg and one hand or loss of use of two legs or two hands or one eye and one leg or one hand or loss of sight of two eyes due to accident.

He said that in case of total recoverable loss of use of one eye or one limb that is a leg or hand, an assistance of Rs 50,000 would be given.

In case of permanent disablity from injury (other than those mentioned above) like paralysis of complete body due to accident, Rs one lakh would be provided.
