GNFC establishes new record output and sales

Mumbai, May 9: Gujarat Narmada Valley Fertilizers Co. Ltd. (GNFC) has established 104 new records in the production of various fertilizers and industrial chemicals during 2005-06.

A company release said this year saw the company surpassing many records of earlier years besides crossing the targets set for all the plants for 2005-06. During 2001-02 too, the company had established 86 new records, the highest at the time.

In the fertilizers segment, the company has achieved 101.07 per cent capacity utilization by producing 6,42,832 metric tonne(mt) of Urea against its target of 6,36,00 mt.

For ANP(Ammonium Nitrophosphate), capacity utilization of 142.86 per cent was achieved with actual production of 2,03,575 mt against its target of 1,69,660 mt while production for 2004-05 was 1,79,754 M.T.

For Narmada CAN(Calcium-Ammonium Nitrate), capacity utilization of 121.27 per cent was achieved with actual production of 1,72,808 mt against its target of 1,46,050 mt.

All the plants of GNFC have produced more than their capacities and targets. It has achieved more than 120 per cent of production in ANP and CAN and more than 125 per cent of production in Methanol, Formic Acid and Acetic Acid.
