GMR Infrastructure to enter the capital market
Mumbai, May 9: GMR Infrastructure Limited, an infrastructure company having interests in power, roads and airports has filed a draft red herring prospectus with Security and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) on May 2, in connection with its proposed initial public offering.
The principal assets of GMR Infrastructure Limited consists of four power plants, of which two are in commercial operation, one is nearing completion and the other is under development. Six road projects, of which two are in commercial operation and four are under development and two airport projects, one of which is under development and the other one is an existing airport undergoing modernisation and restructuring, a company release informed the BSE today.
The company currently generates all of its revenues from the power and road businesses. Under airports, the new Hyderabad International airport is likely to commence commercial operation by the end of the first quarter of 2008. Besides, the company has also won a bid to operate, manage and develop the Delhi Airport, the release added.
