Dutch national arrested for smuggling hashish worth Rs 21 lakh

Mumbai, May 9 (UNI) The Air Intelligence Unit (AIU) of the customs arrested a Dutch national from Sahar international airport here and seized 'hashish' worth over Rs 21 lakh from his bag.

AIU sources said acting on a tip-off, the officers intercepted Simmar Martian who was to depart to Frankfurt via Doha last night.

On conducting a search, they recovered 4320 grams hashish was concealed in his bag, the sources said.

He has been arrested under the provisions of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, 1985.
