Dr Vachharajani appointed as VP, Advinus Therapeutics

Mumbai, May 9 (UNI) Dr Nimish Vachhrajani has been appointed as the Vice-President of pharmaceutical and agro-chemicals development Advinus Therapeutics Pvt Ltd, with effect from this month, stated a release issued here today.

Dr Vachharajani will be responsible for heading operations of the company's site at Bangalore.

Dr Vachharajani brings over 13 years of drug development experience from a large pharmaceutical company in the US, and has, also published over 40 scientific and review articles in various peer-review journals.

Prior to joining Advinus, Dr Vachharajani was with Bristol-Myers Squibb in Princeton, NJ, USA and has worked there in many therapeutic areas including metabolic diseases, neuroscience, and cardiovascular, stated the release.

Advinus Therapeutics is a joint venture between Tata group and former Ranbaxy Research Head Dr Rashmi Barbhiya and is focused on new drug discovery and development of pharmaceutical and agrochemical products.
