DMK, CPM condemn filing of FIR against Ramdoss, Anbumani

Chennai, May 9 (UNI) The Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) and the Communist Party of India (Marxist) today condemned the registration of FIR against PMK founder-leader S Ramadoss, his son and Union Health Minister Anbumani Ramadoss in connection with a murder case.

In a statement here, DMK President M Karunanidhi accused Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa of instigating police to file the case against the PMK leaders to strike political vengeance, even during the fag end of her regime.

Instead of bringing to book those who were involved in the murder of AIADMK cadre, the Jayalalithaa government had foisted the case against the PMK leaders, which deserved to be condemned, he said.

Condemning the ''foisting'' of the case, CPI(M) state unit secretary N Varadarajan, in a statement here, said the registration of the case against the PMK leaders was an attempt to strike political vengeance.

The police should bring to book the real culprits and initiate action, he demanded.
