Contribute in nation-building, PM tells youths
New Delhi, May 9 (UNI) Prime Minister Manmohan Singh today called upon the youth to involve themselves in the task of nation-building by familiarisation with the various programmes launched by the UPA Government for the purpose.
"The Government have imaginative plans which seek to use the energies of the youths for nation building,"the Prime Minister said addressing the valedictory session of the two day National Youths Convention organised by the Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan under the Ministry of Youth Affairs.
Dr Singh referred in this context to the schemes launched by the Government to promote education,rural healthcare and building effective rural infrastruccture."If utilised wisely,it can lead to nation building. For that active involvement of youths is essential,"he observed.
He exhorted the youths to use the opportunity to familiarise themselves with the various programmes to serve the larger public interest."I invite your active participation in the task of nation building,"he said.
