Centre to announce its proposal on Delhi demolitions tomorrow

New Delhi, May 9 (UNI) The government will announce tomorrow its proposal to deal with the serious situation arising from the large scale demolition of residential and commercial properties in the capital on a Delhi High Court order.

The Union Cabinet was discussing the issue till late tonight and the announcement would be made by Urban Development Minister S Jaipal Reddy, said Parliamentary Affairs Minister Priya Ranjan Dasmunsi.

The Minister declined comment on the nature of proposals that were being considered by the cabinet meeting chaired by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh.
