Cases against two govt employees registered in UT
Pondicherry, May 9 (UNI) Police today registered cases against two government employees for canvassing in the Assembly elections in the Union Territory of Pondicherry.
According to police sources, Ganesan working in the Khadi Board and Subramanian of the Health Department were found canvassing in favour of the Cassicade PMC candidate yesterday.
The canvassing was videographed and the returning officer had instructed the police to initiate action against them following which cases were registered against them.
So far ten government employees were suspended for indulging in electioneering, sources said.
