46 people take ill after consuming food in a canteen

Mumbai, May 9 (UNI) As many as 46 people took ill after they consumed food at a canteen in Dadar here today.

Twelve of them had to be admitted to the Hinduja Hospital here while the rest were treated as out-patients, police said.

The victims had consumed food in a canteen run by a private contractor on the VSNL premises at Dadar. Soon after consuming the food, the people complained of nausea and diarrhoea and had to be rushed to the hospital, police said.
