Steam turbine of Block II Synchronised

New Delhi, may 8 (UNI) With the synchronisation of the steam turbine of Block II of the Ratnagiri Power and Gas Ltd (RGPPL) the project scheduled for commercial operation by the year end moved closer to completion of full capacity of 2150 MW .

The bottoming up cycle for the plant is moving as per plan and the full capacity of Block II is expected to be available for Maharashtra Grid by the middle of this month, according to a statement from Ratnagiri.

RGPPL's engineers achieved this within seven days of start of first gas turbine in the plant, the statement added.
