Sania Mirza moves up to 37 in WTA rankings

New Delhi, May 8: Recuperating from injuries and preparing to hit the court before the French Open, Sania Mirza finally has some good news as she jumped two rungs to 37 in the latest WTA Singles Ranking announced today.

The Hyderabadi teenager, ranked 39 last week, currently has 516.75 ranking points in her kitty.

Her Fed Cup team mate and US-based Shikha Uberoi (155) also moved up to 178, improving from previous week's 182, while Ankita Bhambri (60.25) slipped three places to 335 while another Fed Cupper Isha Lakhani went three notches up to 363.

Seasoned Rushmi Chakravarthi (32.75) is ranked 447 and Sanaa Bhambri is 449 (32.25).
