Rahul Dravid's mother creates a work of art

Bangalore, May 8 (UNI) Pushpa Dravid, mother of Indian team captain Rahul Dravid, passion for cricket has come live with a titanic mural now adorning the walls of the M Chinnaswamy Stadium of the Karnataka State Cricket Association.

The huge fibreglass mural with terracotta images of her son Rahul, Ace Leggie Anil Kumble and former cricketers Javgal Srinath, G R Vishwanath, E A S Prasanna, Syed Kirmani and Brijesh Patel was unveiled yesterday evening at a glittering function marked to felicitate Dravid and Kumble on crossing a major milestone of 100 tests.

It was this Chinnaswamy Stadium that saw Rahul Dravid maturing as ''the wall'' of the indian cricket.

Mrs Pushpa, who was teaching in the Department of Architecture before Rahul was born, said that " I wanted to do some work on legends of Karnataka that lives on for 100 years. The work took six months to create.
