Land dispute: Centre accused for neglecting K'taka
Belgaum May 8: Karnataka Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy today accused the successive Central governments for neglecting the state leading to injustice regarding water and land disputes.
Talking to newsmen here, he said Karnataka never got justice from the Centre whether it was in the case sharing the waters of rivers Krishna, Cauvery or Mahadayii.
Replying to a question, Mr Kumaraswamy said he would meet the Union Water Resources Minister soon to get the clearance to take up the Kalasa and Bandoori Nala project, which had been stayed at the behest of Goa government.
To another question, the Chief Minister said that cabinet expansion would be completed by May 15.
On holding of a session of state legislature at Belgaum, Mr Kumaraswamy said he had already instructed the Deputy Commissioner to identify 100 acres of lands for the purpose for Vikas Soudha and expressed hope that session could be held next year.
