Jain TV's Editor seeks direction for demolition of chambers in court
New Delhi, May 8 (UNI) The Delhi High Court today issued notices to the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) and Delhi Development Authority (DDA) seeking direction for demolistion of illegal structures in the district courts premises at Tis Hazari and Patiala House.
A division bench headed by acting Chief Justice Vijender Jain asked the MCD and DDA to file their response to the allegations.
On April 24, Jain TV Chief J K Jain had filed an amended petition seeking direction to the authorities to demolish illegal structures in the district courts premises in Tis Hazari and Patiala House.
Earlier, the Court had asked Dr Jain, the petitioner-in-person, to file an amended petition rejecting the allegation that there were illegal structures in the Delhi High Court premises.
The petition alleged that both the Tis Hazari and Patiala House, premises had unauthorised structures, lawyers' chambers, occupied by the advocates.
These structures did not comply with the building bylaws, the petition said.
The petition sought these direction of the court to the MCD, NDMC and DDA for demolition of the unauthorised structures.
