Iris ro expand channel presence to 2,000 partners by year-end
New Delhi, May 8 (UNI) Iris Computers Ltd, a fast growing IT distribution company in India, today announced it will expand its channel presence across the country to 2000 partners, from the existing 1,100, by the end of 2006.
The announcement comes close on the heels of Iris setting up nine new offices including in B&C class cities, taking the count of its branch offices to 23.
''This is in accordance of our aim to become a Rs 500 crore company by the end of the current fiscal,'' Iris Computers Ltd Chairman Sanjiv Krishen said.
The company represents globally reputed technology brands like IBM, Lenovo, HP, Compaq, Acer, and BenQ.
According to Mr Krishen, ''It is only logical for us to expand our presence both in terms of channels and branch offices. The Addition of Xenitis amidst IT brands we distribute nationally, and an impetus on record sales that we have been generating for other brands incessantly over the years, call for such an expansion.'' According to Iris Director Kamini Talwar, ''The recent tie-up with the Xenitis brand, for distributing their low-priced PCs nationally, will add to our revenues for the year 2006-2007 in a big way.
She added, ''Xenitis has helped breaking the price barrier when it comes to mass adoption of IT by redefining the price points.
We have identified 210 resellers across the country for Xenitis business and would soon be adding 20 more to the list to fulfill the requirement.'' The turnover of the company has crossed the Rs 400 crore as of March 31, 2006, up from Rs 317 crore last year.
