Soccer-Spurs game on despite food poisoning outbreak
LONDON, May 7 (Reuters) Tottenham Hotspur's crucial Premier League match at West Ham United today will go ahead despite several of their players suffering food poisoning.
The match had appeared to be in doubt just two hours before the 1930 hrs IST kickoff at Upton Park, but Tottenham confirmed that the game would not be called off.
Premier League officials had visited the Tottenham team hotel for discussions.
Tottenham need a victory to guarantee finishing fourth in the Premier League and claim the final Champions League qualification spot, providing Arsenal do not beat Barcelona in the Champions League final later this month.
