Rahul visits his ancestral houses in Allahabad

Allahabad, May 7 (UNI) Congress' Lok Sabha member from Amethi Rahul Gandhi today visited his ancentral houses Swaraj Bhawan and Anand Bhawan, apart from Kamla Nehru Memorial hospital here.

It was Rahul's first visit to these edifices of historical importance, which the family dedicated to the nation few years back.

He arrived here by road from Amethi along with his brother-in-law Robert Vadera and senior Congress leader Capt Satish Sharma.

As vital Congress centres, Anand Bhawan and Swaraj Bhawan were witness to important events during the freedom struggle.

Rahul's grandmother late Indira Gandhi as brought up here.

In a brief interaction with mediapersons, Rahul said he was here on a private visit. Later, he left for Amethi.
