Srinagar, May 7 (UNI) Jammu and Kashmir Democratic Forum (JKDF) Chief Pandit Bhushan Bazaz has urged the Centre and the Ghulam Nabi Azad government to make serious and determined efforts for early return of displaced Kashmiri Pandits to the Valley.

''an atmosphere of understanding and reconciliation through peaceful dialogue is prevailing in the sub-continent and the Centre and the Jammu and Kashmir government should make serious and determined efforts for early return of displaced Kashmiri Pandits to their land of birth,'' Pandit Bazaz said in a statement here today.

He said the return of members of the displaced community would restore Kashmir's glory known across the world for its brotherhood, secularism, peace and non-violence.

The JKDF Chief called for resolving issues through mutual understanding and peaceful means. ''Violence is not the solution to any problem and should be abjured and rejected outright,'' he added.

He expressed the hope that the composite dialogue process between India and Pakistan would reach a successful conclusion and usher in a new era of peace and prosperity in the sub-continent.

''The people of Jammu and Kashmir have been the worst sufferers of the unpleasant relations and conflict between India and Pakistan.

They are impatiently looking forward to the return of lasting peace and normalcy in the strife-torn state,'' Pandit Bazaz added.
