JD(U) to embark on mass agitation against corruption, price rise
New Delhi, May 7 (UNI) The Janata Dal (U) has decided to launch a mass agitation for the rights for students, farmers and labourers.
In the first phase of the agitation, JD(U) leaders will sit on a dharna at the Jantar Mantar tomorrow.
Prominent among those who are expected to participate in the dharna are JD(U) national president Sharad Yadav.
In a statement issued here, the JD(U) said the anti-people policies of the UPA Government had created a feeling of insecurity among the youth and the farmers.
''The UPA Government's economic policies are pushing the youth and farmers to the brink of suicide besides increasing economic inequalities. JD(U) urges the centre to put a halt to such policies,''the statement added.
