Car bomb in Iraq's Kerbala kills 21, wounds 52

Kerbala, Iraq, May 7 : A car bomb today near the central bus station in the Iraqi Shi'ite holy city of Kerbala killed 21 people and wounded 52 police said.

The area has been targeted before by car bombers. Sunni Muslim guerrillas linked to al Qaeda have been blamed in the past. Some say they are trying to provoke sectarian civil war.
