CBI raids homes of five JK police officials
Jammu, May 7 (UNI) The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) today raided the residences of five police officials of Jammu and Kashmir in a case related to state vigilance office, sources said here.
According to the sources five CBI teams conducted the raids at different locations in Jammu, in connection with important files and stamps going missing in March 2005 from the Jammu and Kashmir state vigilance office here.
CBI sources said they have recovered the important documents related to the case and other files during the raids. Among the officials whose homes were raided were Deputy Superintendent of Police (Dy SP) Amant Ali and Inspector Nissar, the sources added.
The case related to the missing files and stamps from the state vigilance office of was transferred by the Jammu and Kashmir High Court from the state Crime Branch to CBI last month.
