Ashapur Volclay doubles its capacity of bleaching clay

Bhuj (Gujarat), May 07 (UNI) Ashapura Volclay Limited, India's largest industrial mineral manufacturer, has doubled its capacity of bleaching clay and clay catalysts plant at a cost of Rs 100-crore.

The main unit, located near Bhuj town, will cater the demands of the edible oil refineries from across the world.

The newly created capacity makes this plant the world's second largest plant on a single location facility for high grade speciality of bleaching clay.

At a function held here today, Company's Managing Director Chetan Shah said the import substitute plant is established in technical collaboration with Japan and USA.

The domestic market for bleaching clay is growing constantly at a steady rate, Mr Shah added.
