4.77 lakh plants to be given to farmers in Kashmir

Srinagar, May 7 : About 4.77 lakh plants of various varieties are ready to be distributed among farmers in the Kashmir valley.

This was informed by Jammu and Kashmir Forest, Environment and Urban Development Minister Tariq Hameed Karra.

He also inspected a site near Deer Park in Pahalgam where the Forest Department proposed to construct a rest house without disturbing the natural habitat.

The rest house will provide boarding and lodging facilities to national and international experts associated with research process regarding protection of forests and wild animals.

The Minister also inspected the computerised toll-post constructed to ease the frisking of Amarnath pilgrims.
