73 people set to cross Chakan-da-Bagh LoC tomorrow

Jammu, May 7 (UNI) Seventy three people from both the sides of Jammu and Kashmir will cross over the Line of Control (LoC) at Chakan-da-Bagh in Poonch district tomorrow to visit their ancestral lands after six decades.

''It is the process of confidence building measures for divided families from both the sides of Kashmir and 73 people would cross over the LoC, official sources said here.

The sources said 30 Indian citizens will cross over to Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) from Poonch while 43 people from Pakistan occupied Kashmir will cross over to the Indian side, the sources said.

Two persons crossing from the Indian side are advocates of Poonch district named Mohinder Lal Pyasa and Mohammed Taj, while 17 people are residents of Mendhar, nine of Poonch and four of Surankote, they said.

All arrangements have been made for the crossing. Chakan-da-Bagh and Tatta Pani are the two points along the LoC that are being opened in Poonch district for crossings by people every fortnight, they said.
