Wipro Q4 net up 56 pc to Rs 657.5 crore
Mumbai, May 06 (UNI) Wipro Ltd has posted a profit for the period of Rs 657.5 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2006 as compared to Rs 421.4 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2005, an increase of 56.02 per cent.
Announcing the results, its total income has increased from Rs 2084.3 crore in Q4 FY 04-05 to Rs 3546.9 crore for Q4 FY 05-06.
It has posted a profit for the period of Rs 2020.5 crore for the year ended March 31, 2006 (FY 05-06) as compared to Rs 1494.8 crore for the year ended March 31, 2005 (FY 04-05). Total Income has increased from Rs 7326.7 crore in FY 04-05 to Rs 10379.6 crore for FY 05-06.
As per the Consolidated results, the Group has posted a profit for the period after minority interest of Rs 617.9 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2006 (Q4 FY 05-06) as compared to Rs 433.0 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2005 (Q4 FY 04-05). Total Revenues has increased from Rs 2312.1 crore in Q4 FY 04-05 to Rs 3113.2 crore for Q4 FY 05-06.
The Group has posted a profit for the period after minority interest of Rs 2067.4 crore for the year ended March 31, 2006 (FY 05-06) as compared to Rs 1628.5 crore for the year ended March 31, 2005 (FY 04-05). Total Revenues has increased from Rs 8169.8 crore in FY 04-05 to Rs 10625.8 crore for FY 05-06.
The Board of Directors has considered and adopted the Completion of merger of three subsidiary companies namely Spectramind Ltd, Bermuda, Spectramind Ltd, Mauritius and Wipro BPO Solutions Ltd with the Company, as a result of the filing of the High Courts Orders (wrt of the three subsidiary companies) with the office of the Registrar of Companies.
