2 trader brothers shot dead in Latur

Latur (Maharashtra), May 6: Two trader brothers were shot dead by two unidentified persons here, late last night, the police said today.

According to the police the deceased identified as Prakash Madangopal Malu (38), and Dipak Madangopal Malu (33), were returning to their house in Adarsha colony, after closing their shop for the day, when they were shot by the assailants.

The duo were rushed to the nearby government hospital but they succumbed to their injuries, before admission , police said.

District Superintendent of Police Dr Suhas Varke told UNI, ''We are forming a special team of police officers comprising of local crime branch officers from the neighbouring district, to nab the assailants. However, one prime suspect involved in the shoot out has been detained.'' The motive behind the attack is yet to be ascertained.
