Suicide bomber kills 3 Iraqi officers at Tikrit base

TIKRIT, Iraq, May 6 (Reuters) A suicide bomber wearing an explosives vest blew himself up inside an Iraqi military base in Tikrit today, killing three senior Iraqi army officers, Interior Ministry source said.

The officers killed were a colonel, a major and a lieutenant. A lieutenant-colonel was also wounded in the attack, the sources said.

The attacker was wearing an Iraqi army uniform.
