Seven dead-35 injured in a bus accident at Tehri.

Dehradun, May 6 (UNI) At least seven people died and 35 others were injured in a bus accident near Bhagirathipuram, Tehri, Uttaranchal today.

According to Tehri District Magistrate Camp Office sources five passengers died on the spot and 2 sucummed to injuries while being ferried to a hospital. The Bus was going to Rishikesh from Ghansali when it fell into the bank of river Ganga as the driver lost control at a sharp bend of zero bridge due to high speed. All the injured have been admitted in Tehri and Narendranagar hospitals.

Chief Minister N D Tiwari has ordered a magistrial inquiry into the accident has announced Rs. one lakh ex-gratia for the next of kin of deceased ,Rs. 50 thousand to those seriously injured and Rs.

25 thousand for those who sustained minor injuries.
