Hyderabad, May 6 (UNI) Attributing the delay in ensuring reservation for Muslims to legal wrangles, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy today asserted his government would make all out efforts to overcome hurdles and give reservation for Muslims early.

Reiterating his Government's commitment, he told reporters here the Government had moved the Supreme Court for a verdict before the next academic year, but the Apex court felt otherwise.

The reservation for other backward classes (OBC) took long years to implement and finally it was the Congress Government headed by Brahmananda Reddy, which provided the benefit to OBCs, he recalled.

It may be noted that senior Supreme Court advocate Shakeel Ahmed was appointed as Advocate-on-record exclusively to monitor the issue, on a day-to-day basis, he added.
