Minority Forum demands President's rule in Gujarat

Kolkata, May 6 (UNI) All India Minority Forum today demanded President's rule in Gujarat and protection of minorities in the state, which is witnessing communal violence in Vadodra.

In a meeting here, the speakers also condemned the killing of people from minority community in Doda district of Jammu and Kashmir, and demanded compensation for the victims families in both the states.

AIMF President Idris Ali alleged that Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi had deliberately stoked communal violence in Vadodra, while Pradesh Congress Working President had appealed for maintaining communal harmony.

The Forum also organised an all-religion prayer for peace and communal amity in Gujarat and Jammu and Kashmir.
