Mahadiscom, Ratnagiri gas officials rush to Dabhol
Mumbai, May 6 (UNI) Officials of Mahadiscom, the electricity distribution arm of Maharashtra Government, and Ratnagiri Gas and Power Company have rushed to the plant site of the erstwhile Dabhol Power Company (DPC) to rectify technical faults in the electricity generation and supply.
Two transmission lines of 400 kv-- Dabhol-new Koyna and Dabhol-Nagothane-- have been set up for transmission of electricity generated from the Ratnagiri Gas and Power Project.
Since April 28, the trials were conducted and electricity generation had commenced, an official release today said.
However, since then on two occasions the transmission was affected due to technical faults in these two lines and the switchyard of the project.
Mahadiscom and Ratnagiri Gas and Power Company have taken the issue seriously, resulting in the top officials of both the companies rushing to to Dabhol to find out the causes of the fault and ensure uninterrupted supply in future.
