Colombo, May 6 (UNI) Sri Lanka Army chief Lt Gen Sarath Fonseka, who was critically injured in a suicide bomb attack on his car last month, is ''fast recuperating'' and has been transferred to the Military Hospital.

''Lt Gen Sarath Fonseka who has now regained full consciousness, suffered injuries only to his abdominal area and needs a short period of rest and relaxation as per advice of the medical experts,'' a statement from the Army Headquarters said.
